Just because I am in remission doesn't mean I have forgotten. So many good people lose their lives every day to Lupus. Please don't forget them. It is estimated that betwen 1.5 milion and 2 million people in the world have lupus of some form. It affects women 8 times more than it affects men. How close are we to a cure? It is hard to tell. There are people who are newly diagnosed, those who are in remission, those that are having a flare, and those who are in critical condition due to lupus. This never ends. These paths are always moving, and sometimes these paths cross. This is when two people with Lupus unite. Life is much easier for a Lupus patient if they have someone in a similar situation to vent and share ailments and stories with. Lupus fighters and survivors...GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
